About the ISTSS Annual Meeting
The ISTSS Annual Meeting is a unique opportunity to learn the latest in traumatic stress research, hear about clinical insights and innovations, earn continuing education credits, and network with colleagues.
Join the largest gathering of professionals dedicated to trauma treatment, education, research, and prevention. More than 100 symposia, workshops, panel discussions, cases and media presentations will be presented on a wide variety of topics related to traumatic stress.
ISTSS will offer audio recordings of annual meeting sessions. These recordings contain a comprehensive recap of the in-depth education available to our attendees. Available on a single DVD or downloadable from the Online Learning Center. The recordings are audio synced with the presentations for a rich learning experience. Individual sessions will also be available for purchase.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe childhood trauma and its short- and long-term effects for individuals, families, and communities.
- Discuss various developmental pathways through which childhood trauma may lead to longer-term mental and physical health problems.
- Formulate ways to engage individuals, families, and communities to prevent and treat the consequences of childhood trauma.
Special Spanish-language Track in 2014
In collaboration with Argentine Society of Psycho Trauma (SAPsi) and Spanish Society of Psychotrauma, Traumatic Stress and Dissociation (SEPET+D), ISTSS will offer a special track of programming in Spanish.
The ISTSS 30th Annual Meeting co-chairs are Markus Landolt, PhD, and Tine Jensen, PhD.
