About the ISTSS Annual Meeting
The ISTSS Annual Meeting is a unique opportunity to learn the latest in traumatic stress research, hear about clinical insights and innovations, earn continuing education credits, and network with colleagues.
The 2013 meeting in Philadelphia will be the year's largest gathering of professionals dedicated to trauma treatment, education, research and prevention. More than 100 symposia, workshops, panel discussions, cases and media presentations will be presented on a wide variety of topics related to traumatic stress.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe various similarities and differences in definitions of resilience used in the field of traumatic stress.
- Discuss innovations in research aimed at the identification of factors related to risk and resilience at the individual and population level.
- Formulate ways to foster resilience at the individual and population level via therapeutic intervention, prevention and policy.
The ISTSS 29th Annual Meeting co-chairs are Ananda B. Amstadter, PhD, and Nicole R. Nugent, PhD.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Boston University School of Medicine and the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS).
