Student Activities

The ISTSS 38th Annual Meeting offers numerous ways for students to network and get the most out of their experience. Student-specific events include:

Student Lunch Meeting

Lunch with ISTSS leadership—includes presentation of the Student Awards
Friday, November 11, 12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.

There is no charge for the student lunch. Students need to register for the lunch as part of their meeting registration, as space is limited. If you have already registered, you can go back in and add the student lunch.

Internship, Postdoc & Graduate Programs Networking Fair

Look for the next step in your career. This is a great networking opportunity.
Friday, November 11, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Finding an internship or postdoctoral fellowship that features trauma-specific training can be difficult. In an attempt to ease this burden, the Student Section of ISTSS offers this session to provide an opportunity for students to talk with representatives of various internship and/or postdoctoral fellowship programs who offer rotations or specializations in the clinical and/or research aspects of working with trauma. The training programs have the opportunity to recruit potential interns and postdoctoral fellows, while students have the opportunity to locate these programs, meet representatives, and ask any questions they have about the experiences offered and the application process.

This networking event is coordinated by Isaac Galatzer-Levy, Annual Meeting Scientific Co-Chair, Faith Nomamiukor, Student Section Chair and Krithika Prakash, Student Section Vice Chair. If there are sites you would like to see here in the future, please contact the Student Section leadership.
