Social Networking Administrator

The ISTSS is seeking a new Social Networking Administrator for a two-year, renewable term. The Social Media Administrator is responsible for the content, appearance, maintenance of the ISTSS Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn sites. They will also be responsible for exploring opportunities for growth in ISTSS’s social media presence, including exploring additional social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Tik Tok, Mastadon) and initiatives to expand and promote ISTSS existing presence within platforms. The successful candidate will have previous experience with social media outlets.

The primary responsibility for the Social Media Administrator is to oversee the ISTSS social networking pages. They will be responsible for regularly posting content regarding activities, educational offerings, and publication highlights of the ISTSS, ensuring social media content adheres to ISTSS policies, and managing third-party requests to post content on ISTSS social networking sites.

Candidates should have an advanced degree or comparable experience in a trauma-related field. They should also be an active member of the ISTSS, and have familiarity with the ISTSS mission, membership, organizational structure. The Social Media Administrator will have the authority to appoint 1-2 Social Media Assistants, and will be expected to liaise with other editors (e.g., StressPoints, website, JTS) and committees (e.g., Special Interest Groups, Public Information and Education Oversight Committee).
