Student Travel Award
The travel award most definitely made it possible for me to attend the conference. It would have been very difficult, if not infeasible for me to attend without it this year as I just started graduate school. Attending a conference is not an inexpensive decision, however I feel very strongly about attending them as I too am very passionate about the field. I think it is essential to attend conferences at every stage of one’s career, however especially as a post-bacc student who is aiming to attend graduate school or as a graduate student who is just in the beginning of their career, it is very important to get experience presenting, learning from peers, and networking in the field. The student travel award made it directly possible for me to attend this year's conference in Baltimore
