The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies is dedicated to sharing information about the effects of trauma and the discovery and dissemination of knowledge about policy, program and service initiatives that seek to reduce traumatic stressors and their immediate and long-term consequences. ISTSS is an international interdisciplinary professional organization that promotes advancement and exchange of knowledge about traumatic stress.

Conversations and Consultations
Our Conversations and Consultation series is a members-only series that provides members with the opportunity to exchange valuable insight and advice with subject-matter experts, mentors, and/or colleagues in the trauma field. Each session is facilitated by one or more experts and presented to ISTSS members as a free membership benefit. Dear ISTSS members,
Time flies. We are only a few weeks before our Annual Meeting. Very soon we will see many of you in Los Angeles, where we will have the opportunity to learn from our colleagues and the latest traumatic stress science and clinical insights.
As the President of ISTSS, the theme of this year’s meeting, Scalable Strategies to Address the Impact of Trauma Worldwide, not entirely coincidentally, also is one of the main topics that I focus on in my traumatic stress research.
Predicting optimal PTSD treatment outcomes in patients with PTSD related to childhood abuse – van Vliet, Bremer, van Bronswijk, Muntjes, de Jongh, & van Dijk
In this paper, no evidence was found that some patients benefit more from a phase-based treatment than from a trauma-focused treatment.
